STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel is notable for its corrosion resistance, and it is widely used for food handling and cutlery among many other applications. It’s cut, milled, twisted, curved, pressed, welded and polished based on design of a product. Armada Metal has state-of-art machinery to produce stainless steel cookware appliances. Armada Metal produces necessary moulds in-house, based on customer requirements. Stainless steel is the main product group of Armada Metal. Side handles, knobs, lids and sets are the products in this category.
GLASS LID
Armada Metal distributes the high quality borosilicate glass lid to the cookware market cooperating with Paşabahçe, the largest glassware producer in Turkey. The glass lids are one of the best quality products in the kitchenware industry. It’s a health and environment friendly product. The main advantages of the product are:
-Easy to clean rounded corners,
-230 ˚C oven resistant,
-230 ˚C DT to – 25 ˚C water thermal shock resistance
-No scratch on teflon cookware,
-No bacteria
The glass lids are dome shaped for better heat retention. The design of the lids also allow excess steam to escape. Glass lids are available in 8 different sizes, from 160 mm to 300 mm diameter.
BAKELITE
Bakelite has a number of important properties. It can be molded very quickly, allowing identical units to be mass-produced. Moldings are smooth, retain their shape and are resistant to heat, scratches, and destructive solvents. It is also resistant to electricity, and prized for its low conductivity. These characteristics made Bakelite suitable for several industries like electrics, automotive, toy, jewelry and kitchenware. Armada Metal has currently 8 bakelite injection machines. Armada Metal produces bakelte moulds in house, based on customer requirements and produce accordingly. Current bakelite product category consist of handles, side handles, knobs and sets.
CAST
Armada Metal implements a type of squeeze casting method. The process starts when the molten metal is poured into the bottom half of a pre-heated die. As soon as the metal starts solidifying, the upper half of the die closes and starts applying pressure during the solidification process. The high pressure and the close contact of molten alloy with the metal die surface results in minimum porosity, improvised mechanical properties. excellent part accuracy and surface finish.
Armada Metal currently has 6 press machines enabling approxiamtely 15,000 pieces capacity per week. Casting moulds are produced in house based on customer requirements. Main casting products of Armada Metal are pot and pan bodies.
MOULD
In addition to cookware production, Armada Metal is an innovation company that produces brand-new moulds used in cookware production. In-house mould production enable Armada Metal keep innovative and competitive. Currently, Armada Metal produces cold forming moulds, bakelite injection moulds, aluminum casting moulds in parallel to Armada Metal’s business area.
Armada Metal’s mould and R&D team consists of 15 staff, all them are experienced engineers and technicians. The department has state-of-art machinery to develop best moulds for production. Machinery consists of 3 CNC, 2 electronic discharge machines, 3 convectional milling machines, 1 lathe machine, 1 grinding machine, visual observer and tool grinding. The product designs are conducted using software tools like Siemens NX, Solidworks and AutoCAD. The team designs either Armada Metal’s own products or products based on customer specifications.
